Emirates' most desirable summer destinations
Emirates has analysed data on searches and bookings made on its website for travel between July and August 2025. The result is a precise snapshot of the most sought-after destinations by travelers from all over the world, between established choices and new trends that show a growing desire for authentic cultural experiences and less traveled destinations.
Searches for flights for the summer grew by 7% compared to 2024, with France leading the way (+35%), followed by Ireland, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Germany and the United Arab Emirates. A clear sign of newfound enthusiasm for long-haul travel and discovery.
Vietnam, the revelation of the summer
With a 61 per cent increase in searches, Vietnam is the fastest growing destination in the Emirates network. The country is served with 25 weekly flights to Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and the recent Da Nang (via Bangkok), gateway to three UNESCO sites and over 3,000 km of coastline. All enriched by one of the most popular gastronomic cultures in the world.
Mauritius, Sri Lanka and Japan among the most popular
Mauritius ranks as the second most desired destination, with +41% of searches. Emirates serves the island with two daily flights aboard the iconic A380. Sri Lanka, with a +32%, continues to conquer travelers thanks to its cultural heritage, tea plantations and its affordable luxury offer.
Japan also recorded a +28% interest, thanks to its balance between modernity and tradition. Emirates flies to Tokyo (Narita and Haneda) and Osaka with a total of 21 weekly connections.
France remains a timeless classic
France closes the top 5, with +25% in searches: Emirates offers 21 weekly flights to Paris (including three daily flights on the A380), one to Nice (A380) and one to Lyon (A350).
Market trends: who is looking for what
In the United Arab Emirates, the growth in searches (+13%) concerns destinations such as Sri Lanka, India, Lebanon, France and Morocco. From the USA, interest in Africa and the Middle East is growing, while the British are looking to distant destinations such as Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Mauritius. Indians show curiosity about Ireland and Oceania; Australians for Europe, in particular France and the UK. The Germans prefer the Far East and tropical islands.
Longer vacations for some markets
Emirates reports that around a third of travellers from India, Australia, the UK and Germany spend more than a month travelling during the summer, while Americans opt for stays of 2-3 weeks.
Dubai remains a key summer destination
Emirates expects a strong influx to Dubai, which remains a global destination for all types of travellers. Singles are half of the visitors from the USA, India and Australia, while American and British families choose stays of 1-2 weeks or more. Finally, young Australian and German couples prefer stays of up to a month.
