ITA Airways: intercontinental codeshares with Lufthansa launched

The new agreements include flights between European airports and destinations in Africa, Asia and South America, making connections smoother and more integrated for Italian travellers. Passengers will be able to reach theirfinal destination with a single ticket, taking advantage of coordinated and simplified services throughout the journey.

 

In detail, ITA Airways' AZ flight code will be applied on routes to Africa operated by the Lufthansa Group via Brussels (BRU), including:

  • Nairobi (NBO)
  • Abidjan (ABJ)
  • Douala (DLA)
  • Freetown (FNA)
  • Monrovia (ROB)
  • Ouagadougou (OAU)

Tickets for these destinations will go on sale in the coming weeks.

 

At the same time, passengers of Lufthansa Group companies will also benefit from the agreement, being able to book flights to ITA Airways' long-haul network with a single ticket, with destinations such as:
