First direct flight Bari-New York operated by Neos
The first direct Neos flight arriving from JFK in New York landed today at 9:00 a.m. at Bari's "Karol Wojtyla" airport, inaugurating a new operational route every Tuesday until October 15, 2025, returning from Bari on Wednesday at 11:35 a.m. and arriving in New York at 2:50 p.m.
The route is served by a modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with 355 seats divided between Premium and Economy Classes, designed to offer maximum transatlantic comfort.
An all-Apulian welcome
At Bari airport, passengers were welcomed with a symbolic gift of local tradition: the Classic Friselle by Oropan, made with 100% Apulian durum wheat and sourdough. A gesture that tells the identity and hospitality of the region, thanks to the collaboration between Oropan (based in Altamura), Aeroporti di Puglia and Neos.

The new flight combines international mobility, local economy with exceptional tourist riches such as the World Heritage Site in Puglia.
Neos flights from Italy to North America
Carlo Stradiotti, CEO of Neos specified: "Our goal is to transport about 12,700 travelers in the first year of operation, helping to strengthen ties between Italy and the United States and to promote the development of leisure and business flows between the two countries. After the success of the connection that joined Sicily to the United States last summer, this new route represents a further expansion of our international connections, serving another important region such as Puglia. Thanks to this flight, we will have a daily offer from New York to Italy with four frequencies from Milan, two from Palermo and now also one from Bari".
With this new connection, Neos expands its network to North America, where it has already been present since 2021 on the Milan Malpensa-New York route now served by four weekly frequencies and, from April 2023, with a non-stop flight from Malpensa to Toronto. In addition, since last year the company has introduced the direct Palermo-New York with two weekly frequencies, operating from 06 June until October, which has recorded very positive performances.
