Qantas expands flights between Rome Fiumicino and Perth
The direct flight between Rome and Australia is further strengthened. Qantas has announced the extension of the operating season and the increase in frequencies of non-stop flights between Rome Fiumicino and Perth, confirming the good performance of the route and the growth in traffic demand between the two countries.
In detail, the company will further increase capacity on the Perth-Rome route, extending the daily service from the end of June until the end of the summer season. For passengers, this means more seats available and a greater continuity of the direct connection between Italy and Western Australia throughout the peak period of summer travel.
With this enhancement, Qantas' overall capacity in Rome will be tripled compared to last summer. The decision is part of a broader strategy of the Qantas Group, aimed at responding to the strong demand for travel to Europe and, at the same time, containing the effects of the international geopolitical context on the network. The strengthening of the flight at Rome Fiumicino Airport also consolidates the airport's role as a strategic hub for intercontinental connections and as a privileged gateway between Europe and Australia.
