Etihad brings the A380 to Bangkok
Etihad Airways has announced the debut of its Airbus A380 over Bangkok from 25 October 2026. The airline's flagship will fly daily on the evening route between Zayed International Airport (AUH) and Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), strengthening connectivity between Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Europe and increasing capacity ahead of the winter season.
The introduction of the A380 on one of the most popular leisure routes allows for more seats and a distinctive flying experience, making travel an integral part of your holiday in Thailand.
A premium experience at 40,000 feet
Etihad's A380 is configured to deliver high levels of comfort in all classes of travel.
In First Class, the nine First Apartments offer private spaces with a leather lounge chair, ottoman that converts into an 80-inch fully horizontal bed, personal vanity unit and access to the exclusive shower reserved for First guests.
On the upper deck, Business Class has 70 suites with fully flat seats and direct aisle access. Between First and Business is The Lobby, a lounge with a bar area dedicated to socializing. In-flight Wi-Fi allows you to stay connected for work or play throughout your flight.
In Economy, the A380 offers 337 standard seats and 68 Economy Space seats with increased legroom (+4 inches), ergonomic headrests and generously sized cushions.
The Residence: the three-room suite
The flagship of the A380 is The Residence, the world's only three-room suite on an airliner: a private living room, a separate bedroom and a bathroom with shower. It can accommodate up to two guests and includes dedicated crew service, à la carte menus, champagne and gourmet options served in a completely private setting.
