Emirates celebrates 25 years of flying between Dubai and Bahrain

The airline offers 22 weekly flights to Manama using a modern fleet of Airbus A350s and Boeing 777s
Emirates is celebrating its 25th anniversary of continuous service in Bahrain this year, a milestone that marks more than two decades of growing connectivity and strategic partnerships between the airline and the Kingdom. Since its first flight in January 2000 to Manama, the capital of Bahrain, Emirates has strengthened its commitment to Bahrain, carrying more than 7.86 million passengers and steadily expanding its global destination offering to travellers. The airline offers superior connectivity to destinations such as Chennai, Dhaka, London, Manila and Kuala Lumpur.

The operation began with the Boeing 777-200, which inaugurated the route from Dubai to Bahrain, and today the airline offers 22 weekly flights using a modern fleet of Airbus A350s and Boeing 777s, with around 7,000 seats available per route. In response to growing demand, Emirates recently introduced the Airbus A350 on two of its three daily flights to Bahrain International Airport (BAH), representing one of the first destinations to benefit from this state-of-the-art aircraft. Emirates also increased its presence in Bahrain with the introduction of the iconic A380 at flagship events, such as the Kingdom's National Day and the Bahrain International Airshow, where it showcased its exclusive in-flight products.

In recent years, the company has expanded its operations, signing a codeshare agreement with Gulf Air in 2022 to offer greater connectivity to passengers. In addition, in 2023, it entered into a partnership with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority, supporting the Kingdom's efforts to promote tourism and the many attractions Bahrain has to offer.
