Emirates inaugurates direct flight to Shenzhen

The fourth city in mainland China reached by the carrier after Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Easy connections via Dubai to major European cities, Kenya, Egypt, South Africa and Saudi Arabia

Emirates has inaugurated its new daily direct flight between Dubai and Shenzhen, becoming the airline's fourth airport in mainland China, after Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Flight EK328, operated by a four-class Boeing 777-300ER , lands at Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport.

Shenzhen is the first city in mainland China to receive a refurbished Emirates aircraft, with updated cabin interiors and the new award-winning Premium Economy . On board the Boeing 777, passengers can look forward to 8 private suites in First Class, 40 sleeper seats in Business Class (with 1-2-1 configuration and direct aisle access), 24 seats in Premium Economy and 260 seats in Economy.

The new route comes in a context of strong trade relations between the United Arab Emirates and China, with bilateral trade. The airline sector remains crucial in the growth of relations between the two countries, which are now united by a global strategic partnership.

In addition, thanks to the recent visa waiver for GCC citizens (six Arab states of the Persian Gulf: Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar), passengers from the Emirates and Gulf countries can now enter China without a visa for stays of up to 30 days.

Flights EK328/329 are scheduled to ensure optimized connections via Dubai to major European cities - including Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London and Paris - and numerous destinations in Africa and the Middle East, such as Kenya, Egypt, South Africa and Saudi Arabia.
