Direct flight between Rome Fiumicino and Denver with United Airlines

The airline will operate a direct flight and offer more than 16% more seats from Rome during the summer peak of 2025, with seven daily flights to the United States

United Airlines introduces an innovative transatlantic connection: the first direct flight between Rome Fiumicino Airport and Denver International Airport. The new route, subject to government approval, will start from May 2, 2025 and will be the only direct connection between the two cities. With this addition, United strengthens its presence in Italy, offering 16% more seats available from Rome for the 2025 summer season, with seven daily flights to the United States.

Travel experience on the flight Rome - Denver

The Rome-Denver flight will be operated with modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, equipped with 257 seats divided as follows:

48 seats in United Polaris Business Class, with lie-flat seats and direct aisle access.
21 seats in United Premium Plus, with more spacious seats and exclusive courtesy kits.
39 seats in Economy Plus, with more legroom and extra comfort.
188 seats in Economy, with in-flight entertainment and free meals.

The Dreamliner experience offers advanced passenger comfort features, including: large windows and larger overhead bins; LED lighting designed to simulate the natural cycle of light, promoting rest; cabin with lower altitude and cleaner air, for a more comfortable journey.

Transatlantic routes from Rome, Milan, Venice, Palermo and Naples

The new seasonal Rome-Denver route joins an already extensive network of connections from Italy to the United States, which includes:

daily flights all year round from Rome and Milan to New York (Newark).
seasonal flights from Rome to Washington (Dulles), Chicago O'Hare and San Francisco.
summer connections from Milan to Chicago O'Hare and from Venice and Naples to New York/Newark.

For summer 2025, United will also inaugurate two new routes:

Venice-Washington D.C., from 23 May.
Palermo-New York/Newark, from 22 May.

Overall, United will operate up to 14 direct flights per day between Italy and the United States, further cementing its position as a leader in transatlantic connections.

New destinations from Denver, New York and Washington

The new Rome-Denver route is part of the largest international expansion in United's history, which will introduce six new destinations and nine transatlantic routes in summer 2025. These include:

from New York/Newark: Nuuk (Greenland), Bilbao (Spain), Madeira Island and Faro (Portugal).
from Washington D.C./Dulles: Dakar (Senegal), Nice (France) and Venice (Italy).

United remains the world's largest airline in terms of available seats, serving 147 international destinations with 800 daily flights, including 40 connections not offered by any other U.S. carrier.

An ever-expanding network

United Airlines has been serving Italy since 1997 and continues to invest in the Italian market, offering an increasing number of direct connections to the United States. United's fastest-growing Denver hub will connect more than 180 destinations in 11 countries during summer 2025, making Rome the fourth directly served European destination, after London, Frankfurt and Munich.
