Air Transat flies from Venice to Toronto
Air Transat, represented in Italy by REPHOUSE® GSA, confirms its commitment to the Italian market for 2026 and has reactivated connections from Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) to Canada. Flights have been back in operation since Saturday 2 May and will remain active until 24 October 2026.
For those departing from Venice, the summer network offers direct flights to Toronto, as well as connecting connections to Montreal and Lima.
The Venice-Toronto connection is operated with direct flights from 2 May to 24 October 2026 with 2 weekly frequencies, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. In the period of greatest demand, from 8 June to 12 September, frequencies rise to 3 weekly flights, operated on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays.
To reach Montreal, Air Transat offers connecting flights via Toronto. Again, from 2 May to 24 October 2026 there are 2 weekly connections, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, which become 3 frequencies from 8 June to 12 September, with operations on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The company also expands its offer from Venice with connecting flights to Lima, Peru. For summer 2026, 1 weekly flight is planned, on Saturdays, via Toronto, already active from May 2 and available until October 24.
For passengers, the Air Transat offer from Venice thus combines direct connections to Eastern Canada and onward options to other destinations in the network, with the possibility of traveling with a single carrier.
Intercontinental flights from Italy to Canada are operated with Airbus A330-300 or A330-200, configured in two classes of service: Economy Class and Club Class. On direct flights from Italy to Canada and on connecting flights operated by Air Transat with a single ticket, hand luggage is always included.
On direct intercontinental flights from Italy to Canada, meals in Economy Class are always included in all fare levels: Budget, Standard and Flex.
In Economy Class, the Budget fare includes carry-on baggage and is non-changeable and non-refundable. The Standard fare includes hand luggage and 1 checked bag, provides for change with penalty and is non-refundable. The Flex fare includes hand luggage, 1 checked bag and standard seat, with change or refund without penalty.
In Club Class, the Standard fare includes 2 checked bags weighing 23 kg, while the seat on board is subject to a fee; It also includes gourmet meals, priority check-in and priority baggage, with changes and refunds subject to penalties. The Club Flex fare includes 2 pieces of checked baggage weighing 23 kg, seat included, gourmet meals, priority check-in and priority baggage, with change without penalty except for fare difference and refund without penalty.
On the fleet front , Air Transat has a total of 43 Airbus aircraft: 16 long-haul aircraft (A330-200 / A330-300) and 27 medium-long haul aircraft, including 19 A321LR neo and 8 A321ceo. The company also expects the arrival of 4 leased Airbus A321XLR, with deliveries scheduled between 2027 and 2028.
