The Ibiza Airport, just 7.5 km from the capital and connected to the most important tourist centres, is the island's primary communications artery. The airport facilities serve Ibiza and Formentera, and they are used by 95 per cent of all people who arrive at or depart from these islands. Ibiza airport is characterised by the seasonal nature of its demand, by its predominantly tourist character. Throughout the year, it also offers scheduled inter-island and mainland traffic, such as Barcelona, Madrid (Barajas) and Palma de Mallorca.

Transportation to/from the airport
The city buses run between the Ibiza Bus Station and the airport, the ferry Port of Formentera, the Port and San Jorge (Route 10).
City buses run between the town of San José and the tourist resort of San Antonio and the airport (Route 9, line is only available from 1 June to 30 September).
Other city buses run between the tourist resort of Sant Eularia and Cala Nova and the airport (Route 9, line is only available from 1 June to 30 September).

Ibiza Airport is connected with the centre of Ibiza with Ctra. Circunvalacion Eivissa. Journey time: 13 minutes.
The airport Taxi service is “Radio Taxi de San José” that connected the city of Ibiza. Suitcases and pets are carried free of charge. The airport has two taxis adapted for people with reduced mobility.
