Ibiza Airport: the new StrEAT with street food

The gastronomic travel retail format debuts in a renovated space, expanding the food offer for departing passengers

The new StrEAT was inaugurated at Ibiza Airport, the gastronomic concept of Areas inspired by street food culture and designed to offer passengers a more varied, informal and international break before the flight. The store, opened after renovation, occupies 585 square meters and has 153 seats

The StrEAT format was born from the union between "street" and "eat" and brings the atmosphere of urban markets to the airport, with an offer that combines local proposals, international flavors and recognizable brands. For travellers in transit in Ibiza it means being able to choose between different food solutions in a single space, suitable for both a quick break and a more relaxed moment before boarding.

The airport's new StrEAT features Aloha, Barra de Pintxos, Tim Hortons® and Rossopomodoro, ranging from locally and internationally inspired specialties to Italian cuisine. The presence of several signs in the same environment allows passengers to orient themselves between different tastes, quick formulas and more complete consumption, responding to the typical needs of travel: limited time, practicality and variety.

For Areas, an international operator in the food & beverage and travel retail sector, the opening strengthens its presence in Ibiza and consolidates the evolution of StrEAT as a proprietary brand. The concept was born in Ibiza in 2017 and today has seven locations around the world, between Spain and the United States, with points of sale in Madrid-Barajas, Palma de Mallorca, Atlanta and Newark airports. New openings are also planned at Barcelona-El Prat Airport.
