FAO Airport


Faro Airport is located in Portugal in the small town of Montenegro, about 7 km west of the city of Faro, and is the second busiest airport in Portugal after Lisbon-Portela Airport.
Opened in 1965, it has been recently renovated, offering larger spaces, additional passenger services, greater aircraft capacity and a modernization of the runway and parking lots.

Transport to/from the airport
Bus lines are available daily from Faro airport to the city center of Faro and vice versa.
From Faro train station there are several regional connections in the Algarve and for any destination in Portugal.
Taxis are available every day and even at night. The price to / from the city of Faro is about 10.00 euros.
By car via Av. Dr. Gordinho Moreira / IC4 and N125-10. Journey time: 15 minutes for about 7 kilometers.
