TAP Air Portugal introduces Bluetooth on board

A more comfortable and environmentally friendly entertainment experience on long-haul flights

TAP Air Portugal enriches the on-board services of its long-haul aircraft by introducing a new feature that allows Economy Class passengers to directly connect their Bluetooth headphones to the individual screens of the entertainment system.

This innovation ensures superior audio quality and the convenience of using your personal devices, eliminating the need for disposable headphones. The result is a service that combines comfort for the traveler and respect for the environment.

The airline, in fact, thus reduces the use of plastic and disposable electronic materials, in line with other actions already taken: the distribution of headphones exclusively on request and the renewal of packaging in Economy and Business Class.

TAP's entire long-haul fleet, consisting of 19 Airbus A330neo and 13 latest-generation Airbus A321neo LRs, is already equipped with the new software that enables Bluetooth connection. The option is not available on the three Airbus A330ceos, previous generation models that are also part of the carrier's long-haul fleet.
