ENAC: reorganization and future challenges of air transport
At the 2025 Meeting, a discussion on innovation, sustainability, innovative air mobility and quality of services, in line with the country's strategic objectives
The 2025 Meeting of Executives was held today at ENAC's headquarters, an important opportunity for discussion and analysis for President Pierluigi Di Palma, Acting Director General Fabio Nicolai and the managers of the Authority. The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on the evolution of internal reorganisation and the main challenges facing the sector, including innovative air mobility and the sustainable growth of air transport.
At the opening of the works, President Pierluigi Di Palma addressed a heartfelt thanks to the management of the Authority, underlining the crucial role of ENAC as a point of reference for the sector. "ENAC – he said – represents the synthesis of a path of liberalization and privatization of air transport started 25 years ago. Today we are a virtuous model for Italian bureaucracy, able to promote economic growth and overcome interdictory barriers, consolidating our role at national and international level".
Di Palma highlighted how the Authority has introduced innovative policies in the aviation sector, placing resilience, intermodality and environmental sustainability at the center of its action, key elements of the National Airports Plan (PNA). The President also recalled that the new organizational reorganization, developed in collaboration with LUISS University, aims to strengthen ENAC's presence in the area and the protection of passengers' rights, with particular attention to the most fragile people. The goal is to ensure increasingly sustainable, safe and technologically advanced mobility.
During the meeting, the executives underlined the importance of an organization capable of adapting quickly to the evolution of the sector, promoting dialogue and collaboration between the different realities involved. ENAC aims to improve operational efficiency and consolidate its strategic role, contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable air mobility.
