Wizz Air, Europe's fastest-growing airline and leader in environmental sustainability, has been recognized at World Finance's Carbon Awards 2024. It was awarded "Best Airline for Carbon Reduction" for its commitment to reducing emissions intensity and developing innovative practices for the aviation industry.
The airline boasts the lowest CO₂ emissions per seat, at just 52 grams, and a highly efficient fleet of 60% modern Airbus A321neos, capable of reducing fuel consumption by 20%. Wizz Air is also investing in sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) with the aim of powering 10% of flights by 2030.
