Electric mobility at Turin airport
Towards a zero-emission future: inauguration of the new fast and ultra-fast charging stations serving the airport
Atlante today inaugurated its new fast and ultra-fast charging stations for electric vehicles at Turin Airport, marking an important evolution in sustainable mobility. This project, carried out in collaboration with SAGAT S.p.A., represents the first step in a strategic partnership aimed at promoting zero-emission transport solutions in one of the main airport hubs in Northern Italy.
The new charging infrastructure, distributed in the airport's main parking areas, offers 19 electrified parking spaces, powered exclusively by renewable sources. Thanks to Atlante's advanced technology, the stations guarantee flexible and efficient charging, with powers ranging from 22kW for quick charging to 400kW for ultra-fast charging, meeting the needs of passengers, companions, car rental operators, taxis and public transport vehicles. Accessible 24/7, the stations are designed to ensure maximum usability, even for people with reduced mobility.
The new charging stations not only promote the use of clean and renewable energy, but are already set up for energy storage systems. In addition, they offer an exclusive advantage: at the Bye&Fly car park, customers who recharge with Atlante will be able to take advantage of up to one hour of free parking.
With this inauguration, Atlante further strengthens its presence in Italian airports, adding Turin airport to the list of airports already served, including Rome Fiumicino, Milan Linate and Malpensa, for a total of over 50 active charging points.
The inaugural event was attended by local authorities and stakeholders in the sustainable mobility sector, including Sonia Cambursano, Councillor of the Metropolitan City of Turin, Giuseppe Marsaglia Cagnola, Mayor of Caselle Torinese, Michelangelo Picat Re, Mayor of San Maurizio Canavese, and Enrico Alfredo Demaria, Mayor of San Francesco al Campo. The guests were welcomed by the CEO of SAGAT, Andrea Andorno, and the CEO of Atlante Italia, Gabriele Tuccillo, who symbolically started the operation of the new stations with a first plug-in, underlining the common commitment to more sustainable and innovative mobility.
