ITA Airways renews the Hangar Lounge at Rome Fiumicino

Access to Terminal 1 of boarding area A with 205 seats, Silent and Exclusive Room for customers of the company and carriers of the Lufthansa Group

ITA Airways has inaugurated the new Hangar Lounge at Terminal 1 of boarding area A of Rome Fiumicino airport, inaugurated with the multisensory event "Traveling in all senses", which involves guests and Travellers. The restyling introduces numerous improvements: an additional 135 square meters, 65 new seats for a total of 205 seats, an expanded entrance of 50 square meters and a completely redesigned welcome desk, now positioned on the left to optimize flows and make the reception more fluid. The intervention raises the quality of the lounge experience and allows passengers of Lufthansa Group airlines to be welcomed with greater comfort, as part of the integration process with ITA Airways.

The most significant novelty is the Silent Room, a 90 square meter space with 25 chaise longues, designed to offer passengers a muffled environment in which to find calm and well-being before the flight. A true oasis of calm that responds to the growing need of Travellers to obtain moments of decompression away from the rhythm of the terminal. In the lounge, every detail is designed to start the journey long before boarding: soft lights, harmonious sounds and ambient scents accompany the experience until departure.

At the same time, the Exclusive Room, reserved for Executive customers, is enriched with a wine cellar and selected sparkling wines and an information monitor dedicated to flight schedules. A further touch of comfort is the new chromotherapy shower, designed to offer a regenerating moment before continuing the journey. The entire service area has also been redesigned: the bathrooms are now more numerous and positioned near the entrance to facilitate access.

The project fully interprets ITA Airways' mission to promote national excellence also at the airport. The renovation of the lounge is in fact the result of collaborations with selected Italian brands, chosen to enhance the Italian Lifestyle and enrich the passenger experience with high quality products. With this in mind, the partnership with Aneri, a reference company in the wine world, takes shape, bringing excellent labels to the lounges and on board: Amaro Anerissimo (available in intercontinental Business Class from 1 December 2025); Aneri n.3 Giorgia - Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG (served in International Business Class and Domestic Superior Class from 2026); Aneri Biologico N.7 Leone - Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG (protagonist of the two VIP Rooms in Fiumicino).

The renovation of the Hangar Lounge at Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) consolidates Ita Airways' role in airport hospitality, offering Travellers an experience that combines comfort, style and innovation, transforming waiting into a privileged moment of travel.
