Increase in flight frequencies on the Brindisi-Fiumicino route
For the winter season, an enhancement of ITA Airways' offer on the connections between Rome Fiumicino and Brindisi
In the 2024/2025 winter season, ITA Airways strengthens its connections from Salento airport with an increase in frequencies compared to the previous year. The agreement, recently concluded between Aeroporti di Puglia and the airline, provides for an expansion of the Brindisi - Rome (Fiumicino) route, which has always been of strategic importance for the region.
At Brindisi airport, in particular, a third daily rotation will be available on Mondays and Fridays in the middle of the morning, increasing the number of flights compared to the previous winter season, during which only two daily rotations were operational. This increase represents an important opportunity to improve Salento's connectivity with the capital and the main international hubs.
"We are extremely satisfied - said the president of Aeroporti di Puglia, Antonio Maria Vasile - with the announcement of the increase in frequencies on the Brindisi-Fiumicino route operated by ITA Airways. This enhancement represents a concrete response to the growing connectivity needs of our region. The increase in connections will not only improve services for Apulian travellers, but will also offer new opportunities for international traffic and the tourism sector, thus promoting economic growth and territorial development".
