Fiumicino Airport celebrates 30 years of China Airlines in Italy
China Airlines celebrated the 30th anniversary of the direct Rome-Taipei connection, inaugurated in 1995, with a ceremony at Rome Fiumicino International Airport. The event, organized in collaboration with Aeroporti di Roma (ADR), celebrated a consolidated partnership that in three decades has fostered cultural, economic and tourist relations between Italy and the heart of the Far East.
The direct Rome-Taipei flight, operated with the Airbus A350-900, represents a key piece in the airline's intercontinental network. With optimized arrival times, it allows convenient connections to major Asian and Oceanian destinations, including Australia, South Korea, the Philippines, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Palau, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Over the years, China Airlines has built a reliable presence in the Italian market, focusing on quality of service, technological innovation, environmental sustainability and on-board comfort. The renewal of the fleet, the introduction of the latest generation services and a constant focus on safety have helped to strengthen passenger confidence and customer loyalty. Founded in 1959 and part of the SkyTeam alliance, China Airlines operates a fleet of 86 aircraft to 192 destinations in 29 countries. In Europe, it flies from the following destinations: Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Prague, Rome and Vienna.
