Wizz Air connects Palermo and Tirana
Wizz Air will launch the new direct Palermo-Tirana flight from 27 October 2026. The route will operate three times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Tickets are already on sale.
The new flight will make it easier to travel between Sicily and Albania for tourism, work and visits to family and friends, strengthening the connections between two territories united by important cultural and economic relations.
The flight to Tirana will be operated with Airbus A321neo. With this novelty, Wizz Air further expands the offer from Palermo, where in 2026 it expects over 1.3 million seats and new routes to Rome (Fiumicino), Barcelona, Prague, Marrakech, Dortmund and Pisa.
Overall, the company offers six new domestic and international routes from Palermo, 18 connections to 13 countries. At Palermo Airport (PMO), the airline will become the airport's second-largest carrier by market share by the end of the year.
