Volotea opens the new Olbia-Seville flight
Volotea strengthens its commitment to Sardinia by announcing the new Olbia-Seville flight, operational from 29 May to September 2026. The route will be served with two weekly frequencies, every Tuesday and Friday, expanding travel opportunities between the Costa Smeralda and one of Spain's most charming cities.
The new flight is part of the "new routes" call promoted by the Sardinia Region and confirms the central role of Olbia within the Volotea network. Present at Olbia Costa Smeralda airport since 2012, the company inaugurated an operational base here in 2021. Today Olbia Costa Smeralda represents the first Italian base in terms of capacity and the third in Europe for Volotea. In 2025, the carrier operated 27 routes, putting 1.1 million seats on sale.
The route to Seville is part of a strategy oriented towards deseasonalization and the strengthening of international tourist flows, alongside an offer that includes connections also active in the winter months to Barcelona, Paris (Orly airport - ORY), Turin, Venice and Verona as well as the territorial continuity Olbia-Rome (Fiumicino airport - FCO).
From the point of view of service, Volotea stands out for its high levels of passenger satisfaction: in 2025 in Olbia the Net Promoter Score reached 53.1, with a recommendation rate of 90.7%. Operating performance was also solid, with a completion factor of 99.5% and an OTP15 of 80%.
