Volotea flies from Olbia to Paris even in winter
Volotea, the airline that connects small and medium-sized European cities, extends its direct flight between Olbia and Paris Orly to the winter season for the first time, offering two weekly frequencies, every Monday and Friday. The route, until now only operational in summer, will now be available all year round, making it easier to reach the French capital even in the coldest months.
The announcement represents a strategic step in the deseasonalization of the offer to and from Olbia, for the benefit of both Sardinian residents and international tourism. The flight to Paris joins a winter network that already includes Turin, Venice, Verona domestically and Barcelona on the international front.
In 2025, Volotea expects Olbia to grow by 5%, with almost 1.1 million seats on sale, confirming the Costa Smeralda airport as the company's main Italian base in terms of capacity. During the high season, Volotea employs over 100 employees in its Olbia base, actively contributing to the economy and employment of the area.
With 27 active routes from Olbia, Volotea is confirmed as the first airline in terms of number of destinations from Olbia Costa Smeralda airport:
- 14 in Italy: Ancona, Bari, Bologna, Catania, Florence, Genoa, Milan-Bergamo, Naples, Palermo, Pisa, Rome (Fiumicino), Turin, Venice and Verona.
- 10 in France: Bordeaux, Brest, Deauville, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Paris (Orly), Strasbourg and Toulouse.
- 3 in Spain: Barcelona, Bilbao and Madrid.
In Olbia, one of the carrier's key bases, Volotea recently reached a symbolic milestone: the 75 millionth passenger carried since its first flight in 2012.
