Ryanair increases flights for the summer from Milan Bergamo airport
Ryanair has unveiled its 2026 summer schedule at Milan Bergamo Airport, confirming the airport as one of the pillars of its network in Italy. The programme envisages significant growth in capacity, connections and employment, with direct effects on tourism and mobility.
For the 2026 summer season, Ryanair will base 24 Boeing 737-800 aircraft in Bergamo, two more than current operations. The routes will rise to 107 connections, with three new destinations: Lemnos in Greece, Pescara and Rabat in Morocco. The overall offer will make it possible to handle 14 million passengers per year, equal to a growth of 6%, supporting over 11,200 jobs related to airport and tourism activities.
The airline reiterates that its low-fare model continues to generate economic growth and traffic, thanks to efficient operations and steadily increasing demand. At the same time, Ryanair points out that the municipal surcharge (including the recent increase of €0.50 per passenger on non-EU flights in the main Italian airports, including Bergamo) still represents a limit to further growth margins for the airport and Milan connectivity.
To support the launch of the summer schedule, Ryanair has activated a promotion with fares starting from 29.99 euros, valid for travel until September, already bookable through the company's official app.
According to CEO Eddie Wilson, the announced growth is the result of collaboration with the teams of SACBO, the management company of Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY), demonstrating how competitive operating conditions and airport efficiency are key elements to strengthen low-cost national and international connectivity and support inbound tourism in Milan and Lombardy.
At the same time, Ryanair's summer flight schedule from Milan Malpensa (MXP) was also presented. Overall, Ryanair's schedule for summer 2026 in Milan includes 33 based aircraft and 156 routes.
