Ryanair focuses on artificial intelligence to improve travel
Ryanair and Amazon Web Services have renewed their collaboration dedicated to cloud computing, data analysis and artificial intelligence for another five years. AWS technologies will be used in all major areas of the company, from website management to fleet planning, to the digital tools used by pilots, crews, and operational personnel.
The goal is to make travel easier right from the passenger search and booking phase. Artificial intelligence will be able to support the consultation of destinations, improve access to information and contribute to faster management of airport operations.
The collaboration will also support the airline's 647 aircraft and approximately 3,900 daily flights, helping Ryanair to optimise fleet utilisation and respond more quickly to operational changes.
Among the tools already developed is Ryanair Connect, an internal application that allows cabin crew to consult shifts and flight details in real time, request changes and access company procedures through an AI-based assistant.
Better circulation of information between employees, pilots, and crews can result in more coordinated operations, more timely updates, and a more regular service for travelers. The renewal of the partnership will also accompany Ryanair's growth plan, which aims to carry 300 million passengers by 2034, making technology one of the central tools to support the expansion of the network and the efficiency of its low-cost model.
