Only digital boarding passes to fly with Ryanair

The airline moves the launch date from Wednesday 12 November, instead of Monday 3 November. Passengers will need to use the digital boarding pass generated in the 'myRyanair' app during check-in in order to board their flight

Ryanair has confirmed that the switch to 100% digital for boarding passes will take place from Wednesday 12 November, instead of Monday 3 November.

With the switch to 100% digital boarding passes, from 12 November, passengers will no longer be able to download and print a paper boarding pass, but will instead need to use the digital boarding pass generated in the 'myRyanair' app during check-in in order to board their Ryanair flight.

Ryanair's digital transformation has already introduced several features within its app, including:

  • Order to Seat: Order food and drinks directly from your phone and receive them first.
  • Live Flight Information: real-time updates on boarding, gates and delays.
  • Direct Disruption Updates: live notifications from the Ryanair Operations Centre in the event of disruptions.

Almost 80% of Ryanair's 206 million passengers already use the digital boarding pass. Dara Brady, CMO of Ryanair, said that

100% digital boarding passes will offer their passengers a faster, smarter and more sustainable travel experience thanks to the "myRyanair" app.
