New Ryanair Forlì-London flight
The new Forlì-London Stansted flight operated by Ryanair took off yesterday, bringing the connection with the British capital back to Luigi Ridolfi airport after the last operation in 2008. For passengers in Romagna, the new route offers direct and convenient access to London, one of the most popular European destinations for tourism, study, work and short trips.
The connection will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, allowing you to organize long weekends, study stays, business trips and leisure trips to the city of Big Ben.
The route is also of important value for inbound traffic. The London Stansted-Forlì flight can in fact become a new gateway to Emilia-Romagna for British travellers, increasingly interested in the region and its cities of art, the Adriatic coast, food and wine and cultural itineraries.
Among the destinations closest to the airport, Ravenna is one of the main poles of attraction. The city, known for its mosaics and for its historical and artistic heritage, also retains a cultural link with the British world thanks to the figure of Lord Byron, an English poet and politician to whom Ravenna has dedicated an interactive museum.
To make travel to and from the airport easier, a Bus Terminal service has also been activated with Start Romagna, Trenitalia Tper and the Municipality of Forlì. The service improves the accessibility of the airport and facilitates the movement of passengers using the new connection with London.
A direct shuttle between Ravenna railway station and Forlì airport is also planned, created in collaboration with VisitRavenna. The service will be available by reservation, without intermediate stops, and will be designed in particular for those traveling to and from London. The shuttle will also operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, corresponding to flight days.
