New Genoa-Warsaw route with Wizz Air

The first direct flight between Liguria and Poland operates three flights a week: on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

Wizz Air, together with Genoa Airport, celebrated the official inauguration of the new route connecting Genoa to Warsaw, marking the opening of the first direct flight between Liguria and Poland.

Since 1 May 2025, the connection to the Polish capital has been operating three times a week (every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) offering Ligurian passengers quick access to one of the most dynamic cities in Central Europe.

The activation of the Genoa-Warsaw route represents a strategic step to strengthen Wizz Air's presence on the Italian market and increase Liguria's international connectivity. For summer 2025, the airline will operate over 200 routes from Italy to 80 destinations in 32 countries, with a record offer of 13 million seats at competitive fares.

Warsaw, nicknamed the "Phoenix City" for its extraordinary reconstruction after the Second World War, conquers with a perfect balance between history, culture and innovation. The UNESCO World Heritage Old Town, the Royal Castle and the impressive Łazienki Park, with its famous Palace on the Island, are just some of the must-see attractions. To make the experience even more complete, the rich gastronomic tradition contributes to it, with specialties such as pierogi, bigos and the famous sernik cheesecake.

Francesco D'Amico, General Manager of Genoa Airport specified: "There are three weekly flights that connect the Ligurian capital to the Polish capital. We thank Wizz Air for believing in the potential of our airport by confirming the connection with Budapest for the 2025 summer season and also activating a new flight to Krakow starting on 17 June".
