Italian pasta tasting on board Eurowings

From 1 November 2025, the German leisure company will exclusively serve L'Osteria's "Maccheroncini Colorati" for at least six months: recipe optimized for high altitude, pasta from Pastificio n. 12 and coffee voucher included

From 1 November 2025, Eurowings, Germany's largest airline for leisure tourism, will bring on board – and exclusively – the famous "Maccheroncini Colorati" of L'Osteria, served at an altitude of several thousand meters.

The recipe, one of the brand's most popular, has been optimized for flight operations by the experts of the two companies without compromising on taste and quality; the macaroni come directly from the L'Osteria pasta factory.

The collaboration stems from a natural affinity: L'Osteria, with over 200 restaurants in ten European countries, gives its guests an Italian "mini-holiday" every day; Eurowings transports around 20 million passengers a year to more than 150 destinations. A combination that brings the atmosphere of the "Dolce Vita" to start already in flight.

Artisanal pasta ensures the dolce vita on board. True to L'Osteria's vision, "The Joy of Italy – everywhere for everyone", travelers can expect high-quality authentic Italian cuisine at fair value for money and an atmosphere that transforms the meal into a short break in Bella Italia. In addition to the iconic 45 cm pizza, L'Osteria is renowned for its pasta: since 2015 production has been entrusted to Pastificio n. 12 in Nuremberg, where over 20 shapes – up to 10 tons per day – are born on original Italian machinery, without preservatives and without pasteurization.

Rapid freezing uses very cold air (no nitrogen or CO₂): in 30 minutes at –25/–30 °C the paste is stabilised and then packaged by hand to reach over 200 restaurants in Europe – and now also Eurowings flights.

The "Maccheroncini Colorati" captivates with fruity tomato sauce, crispy peppers, roasted zucchini and eggplant, complemented by delicate onions and Italian herbs. They will be available at the Eurowings Wings Bistro for €8.90 from 1 November 2025 for at least six months. Those who buy them will also receive a coffee voucher, which can be used in one of the L'Osteria restaurants.
