Eurowings expands the Marketplace with codeshare flights that can be booked online
Eurowings is enhancing its digital offering with the launch of the new Eurowings Marketplace, which for the first time allows customers to search, book and check in codeshare flights directly via the Eurowings website and app.
The first partner airlines to be integrated are Aegean Airlines and Smartwings, thus offering Travellers new routes, more weekly frequencies and more connection possibilities.
The project, developed in almost two years of collaboration with Lufthansa Group Hub Airlines, Lufthansa Systems and Lufthansa Group Digital Hangar, represents a technological milestone that will enable the integration of additional partner airlines, both codeshare and non-codeshare, in the future.
Eurowings thus becomes one of the few airlines in the world to offer ticketed and ticketless flights within a single booking platform. In addition to enabling the combination of Eurowings and codeshare flights, the airline – Germany's leading leisure carrier – is thus expanding its network and strengthening the competitiveness of its digital ecosystem for leisure and business travel.
