easyJet: growing profits and boost on Italy
easyJet has presented its results for the FY25 financial year, which ended on 30 September 2025. The company reports profit growth for the third year in a row, equal to 9% in 2025. EBIT stood at GBP703 million, up 18% year-on-year, or +$106 million year-on-year. FY25 headline PBT profit was GBP665 million, an increase of 9% (i.e. +55 million year-on-year), compared to a reported pretax profit of GBP658 million.
Focus on the Italian market
The 2024-25 financial year represented a central transition for easyJet in Italy: the company inaugurated two new bases in key airports for the two main Italian cities, Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino.
Milan Linate
At Linate, Milan's city airport where for the first time there is a significant presence of a low-cost operator, easyJet in the financial year just ended made 2 million seats available, marking a net growth compared to the previous year. With 5 aircraft based as of the end of March 2025, the company operated 21 routes to and from the airport, including 16 introduced this year. In addition, 140 new direct jobs have been created, destined (according to expectations) to exceed 200 next year, with the replacement of the two wet-leased airplanes expected at the end of summer 2026.
Rome Fiumicino
easyJet has also opened a new base at Rome Fiumicino Airport, offering 2.3 million seats on 17 routes, thanks to 3 aircraft based from the end of March 2025. 150 direct jobs have been created at the airport.
Milan Malpensa
The airline maintains a solid position as the leading carrier at Milan Malpensa, with a capacity of 8.7 million seats on 75 routes, supported by 22 aircraft based. The routes available from Malpensa allow you to reach all the main European destinations, as well as a selection of medium-long haul destinations such as Sal - Cape Verde and Luxor, launched just this winter.
Naples Airport
Consolidation also continues at Naples airport, with over 3.5 million seats available on 54 routes.
Overall, in FY 2024-25 easyJet made available over 21 million seats to and from Italy, on a total of 268 routes to and from 21 Italian airports.
