Air Cairo flies to El Alamein from Milan Malpensa and Catania
Summer 2026 brings a new travel opportunity to Egypt with Air Cairo's new direct flights to El Alamein, a seaside destination on the north coast overlooking the Mediterranean. The company will connect the Egyptian resort with Milan (Malpensa) and Catania during the summer season, thus expanding the possibilities of departure from Italy to a destination that combines sea, relaxation and historical interest.
From Milan Malpensa (MXP), flights will be operated from 4 June to 24 September 2026, departing on Thursdays at 12:00 and arriving at El Alamein (El Alamein International Airport - DBB) at 16:20. The return flight will depart from El Alamein at 08:15 and arrive at Malpensa at 11:00.
From Catania (CTA) airport, the connection will be active from 9 June to 29 September 2026, departing on Tuesdays at 14:15 and arriving in El Alamein at 17:25. In the opposite direction, the flight will take off from El Alamein at 11:45 a.m. to land in Catania at 1:15 p.m.
For Italian passengers, these flights make it easier to reach a destination that is establishing itself in the Mediterranean tourist scene: El Alamein, an interesting choice for those who want a beach holiday in a few hours of flight. The resort is appreciated for its light sandy beaches, clear sea and the presence of resorts and hotels.
From here you can explore other areas of the Egyptian north coast. From El Alamein it is also possible to easily reach Marsa Matrouh, renowned for its beaches, and Alexandria in Egypt, one of the most famous cities in the country, for its historical heritage and Mediterranean identity.
