Third daily Malpensa-Dubai flight with Emirates

The airline boosts its global network for the winter, brings Premium Economy to Milan and, as of October 26, MXP is connected to Dubai Airport (DXB) with three flights a day

Emirates is announcing a significant expansion of its international connections from 26 October, introducing new frequencies and modernised aircraft on key routes, to meet growing demand and offer more passengers a superior onboard experience.

Among the main innovations:

  • Milan Malpensa will be served with a third daily flight, operated with Boeing 777-300ER (EK101/102), further strengthening connectivity between Italy and the Emirates.
  • Emirates' EK247/248 connection between Dubai, Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires will switch to daily frequency.
  • The Dubai–Shanghai route will see major upgrades: flight EK302/303 will be operated by A380 from 20 July, while the second daily flight (EK304/305) will be served by a refurbished Boeing 777.
  • From this winter, the third daily connection between Dubai and Singapore (EK314/315) will also be operated by Airbus A380.
  • As of 1 February 2026, Emirates will replace the refurbished Boeing 777 with an A380 on the second daily flight to Zurich (EK85/86) and will also introduce the Premium Economy cabin on flight EK87/88, again with an upgraded A380.

These upgrades are part of the ambitious fleet modernization program, launched in November 2022, which includes the complete renewal of one aircraft every three weeks. To date, 60 aircraft have already been reconfigured, both Boeing 777 and Airbus A380.

The new interior offers a better experience in all travel classes. Four-class Boeing 777s include First Class with private suites, Business Class, Premium Economy (24 seats) and Economy Class. On the refreshed A380s, Premium Economy offers 56 large seats, arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration, with ergonomic seats, increased legroom, charging sockets and a side table.
