The best airline in the world is Emirates
Telegraph Travel's new study evaluated 90 global airlines based on criteria such as punctuality, comfort, route network and in-flight entertainment, confirming the airline as a leader
In a recent study conducted by Telegraph Travel, Emirates was crowned as the "World's Best Airline", surpassing 90 international competitors. The study analyzed over 30 criteria, including punctuality, baggage allowance, destination network, quality of the main airport, age of the fleet, value of the loyalty program and quality of in-flight meals. The results were calculated using data from more than 18 independent awards, reader surveys and expert reviews.
The airline was praised for its ability to meet almost every requirement, from baggage allowance to punctuality. Emirates is the airline with the largest fleet of Airbus A380s, loved by passengers for its space and comfort in all classes, including economy.
The report also highlighted that Emirates' Premium Economy is the best in the skies, while Business Class offers luxury services such as private chauffeur to and from the airport, an increasingly rare advantage in the industry. Finally, Emirates also offers a top-notch First Class, complete with a fine wine list and in-flight showers, making it an unrivalled experience.
The analysis was based on an independent method involving 90 airlines, evaluated on the basis of the number of passengers carried annually and a number of factors, including reliability, connectivity, baggage rules, experience on board, average age of the fleet and much more. The results, including awards such as Skytrax and Airline Ratings, demonstrate the level of excellence achieved by Emirates.
During 2024, Emirates received 19 awards globally, including seven awards at the Skytrax World Airline Awards, for Best Inflight Entertainment and Best Comfort in First Class. Other awards came at the Pax International Magazine Awards and the Business Traveller Middle East Awards.
