ITA Airways strengthens the summer from Rome Fiumicino
ITA Airways expands its schedule for summer 2026 with new leisure routes and additional flights designed to accompany the strong demand expected in the peak months. The strengthening concerns in particular the Rome Fiumicino hub, from which the company introduces new connections to some of the most popular destinations in the Mediterranean and increases capacity on routes already active.
Between July and September 2026, ITA Airways will launch three new routes from Rome Fiumicino. The connection to Trapani will depart on 1 July with a daily frequency, while the new flights to Alicante will be operational from 18 July with two weekly frequencies. From 25 July, the route to Mykonos will also debut, also with two weekly frequencies.
For passengers, these innovations translate into more options to reach some of the most popular destinations of the summer, with direct connections from Rome to the Italian sea, Greece and the Spanish coast.
Alongside the new destinations, ITA Airways also plans an increase in frequencies on connections already operating from Rome Fiumicino to Brindisi, Lampedusa, Pantelleria, Palma de Mallorca and Nice.
This enhancement is part of a broader strengthening of ITA Airways' summer network. From 1 June 2026, in fact, the already announced seasonal flights from Rome Fiumicino (FCO) to Malaga, Valencia and Marseille, operating until 30 September 2026, will also enter service.
