Free Wi-Fi available on board Air France flights
Air France's in-flight Wi-Fi service, announced in the fall of 2024, is now operational. The airline is preparing to equip the fifth aircraft in its fleet with high-speed Wi-Fi, allowing passengers to enjoy a free, quality, stable, fast and secure internet connection.
The new service is completely free of charge in all classes of travel and can be accessed by logging into your Flying Blue account (La Première customers continue to connect directly), the frequent flyer program of the Air France-KLM group (those who do not have a Flying Blue account can create one directly on board, free of charge).
Two Embraer 190s and two Airbus A220s have been equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi. An Airbus A350 is equipped with this technology, marking its introduction on the long-haul network. Air France is extending its offer to its entire fleet, including, for the first time, its regional aircraft.
During the flight, passengers on board equipped aircraft can stay in touch with loved ones, follow the news in real time, stream TV shows, movies and TV series, and even play multiplayer video games (new service accessible via smartphones, tablets and laptops with simultaneous connection of multiple devices).
Air France will offer high-speed Wi-Fi on board 30% of its fleet by the end of the year and on its entire fleet by the end of 2026. During this transition period, the airline will continue to offer an in-flight Internet connection on board aircraft not yet equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi: a free messaging pass for Flying Blue members and a paid option (free offer for Flying Blue Ultimate and La Première customers) for other uses.
To offer the service, Air France has partnered with Starlink, a world leader in connectivity, which offers high-speed, low-latency internet, powered by a vast network of satellites in low Earth orbit to ensure reliable connectivity during flight.
