flydubai resumes direct flights to Damascus
From 1 June, daily connections between Dubai and the Syrian capital, one of the company's first historical routes
The airline flydubai, based in the United Arab Emirates, has announced the resumption of direct connections to Damascus starting from 1 June 2025. Flights will operate daily from Dubai International Airport (DXB) Terminal 2 to Damascus International Airport (DAM).
Damascus is a destination of particular historical value for flydubai: it was in fact among the first destinations served by the company, with flights inaugurated as early as June 2009. The resumption of this route follows the announcement by the UAE Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), which last April authorized the return of flights between the two countries.
