American Airlines doubles flights from Naples to the USA
American Airlines and GESAC have formalized the doubling of connections between Naples-Capodichino International Airport (NAP) and the United States, thanks to the resumption of direct flights to Philadelphia (PHL) and the inauguration of the new route to Chicago O'Hare (ORD).
Starting today and for the entire summer season, the American company will operate two daily flights from Naples to the United States, offering travelers greater choice, flexibility and the possibility of connections to numerous destinations.
New Naples-Chicago flight
The introduction of the direct connection between Naples and Chicago expands access to one of American Airlines' main hubs. Chicago O'Hare International Airport is in fact a strategic gateway with over 480 daily flights to more than 150 destinations in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico.
The daily Naples-Chicago flight is operated with Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, configured to accommodate 20 passengers in Business Class, 28 in Premium Economy and 186 in Main Cabin.
Resumption of the Naples-Philadelphia flight
The direct flight between Naples and Philadelphia, active from 7 June 2024, resumes for the summer season with a daily frequency. Also on this route, American uses modern Boeing 787-8s, guaranteeing passengers comfort and high-level services.
Philadelphia Airport is American Airlines' primary transatlantic hub, offering more than 100 connections to the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean, making it easy to continue your journey with convenient connections.
A superior flying experience
On both routes, passengers can enjoy a premium experience aboard Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, featuring lie-flat seats in Flagship® Business Class, ergonomic seats in Premium Economy and comfortable Main Cabin cabins.
The in-flight experience with American Airlines includes a modern interior, high-speed Wi-Fi, live TV streaming, and a rich entertainment system with more than 1,500 movies, series, audio, and lifestyle content.
"We are particularly happy that American Airlines, in addition to confirming the connection with Philadelphia, has chosen to further invest in our airport, which this summer will offer up to 43 weekly frequencies to six major North American airports: Atlanta, Chicago, Montréal, New York/Newark, New York JFK and Philadelphia," commented Roberto Barbieri, CEO of GESAC, the management company of the Naples International Airport (NAP).
