Munich Airport celebrates Oktoberfest 2026 with beer, music and Bavarian shopping
Munich Airport brings the atmosphere of Oktoberfest 2026 directly to the terminal, with a program of initiatives dedicated to passengers and visitors including traditional costumes, beer, live music, Bavarian specialties and themed activities. The celebrations begin even before the official opening of the tents in the city and involve both public areas and those accessible after security checks.
The aim is to offer Travellers a first taste of Bavarian culture as soon as they arrive in Munich or before departure. The planned initiatives also include the distribution of traditional gingerbread hearts, one of the most recognizable symbols of Oktoberfest.
Dirndl and lederhosen at Munich Airport Center
From 2 September to 4 October, the Trachtendealer pop-up at the Munich Airport Center (MAC) offers clothing and accessories for those who want to participate in the Oktoberfest with a traditional look, including dirndls, lederhosen and style accessories.
At Terminal 2, Gates G area, New Yorker presents a collection that interprets Bavarian clothing in a more contemporary and casual way.
adidas also participates in the initiatives in the MAC Forum, with its own reinterpretation of traditional fashion. Among the protagonist garments the adidas dirndl returns, already at the center of attention during the previous edition.
Styling before the party
To complete the Oktoberfest look, at Terminal 2, level 04, there is the Pantene Travel Size Styling Lounge, where professional stylists create hairstyles ranging from traditional braids to faster solutions designed for those on the go.
Oktoberfest also at the Airbräu
From 19 September, the festive atmosphere also arrives at the Airbräu, the brewery at Munich Airport.
The opening will be accompanied by the traditional "O'zapft is!", with the tapping of the first barrel of seasonal beer produced on site. In the following days, the program will continue with live music, Oktoberfest beer and a special menu dedicated to Bavarian specialties.
For those travelling through Munich in the coming weeks, Munich Airport (MUC) thus becomes part of the Oktoberfest experience: not only a point of arrival and departure to visit Munich during a city break or the districts of Munich, but also a space where you can immediately get in touch with the gastronomy, music and traditions of Bavaria.
