Scirocco opens in Milan Bergamo

Arancini, diner, granitas, cannoli and Sicilian products enter the terminal's food offer with a format designed for travelers

Scirocco Street Food Lab debuts at Milan Bergamo Airport with a new store created in collaboration with Chef Express, marking the entry of the Sicilian brand into the national travel retail market.

The new opening brings to departing and transiting passengers a gastronomic offer inspired by the Sicilian tradition, designed for the times and needs of travel. The format combines identity recipes, fast service and operational standards suitable for a traffic-intensive airport.

The project stems from the experience gained by Scirocco Street Food Lab in the historic stores of the fish market and Catania airport. The already consolidated presence in the Etna airport represented the starting point for developing a model that can be replicated in the main Italian transport hubs.

With the opening at Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY), Scirocco inaugurates a new phase of growth. The goal is to bring the authenticity of Sicilian cuisine into national mobility contexts, offering Travellers a more recognizable alternative to the standardized formats of airport catering.

The heart of the offer revolves around some great classics of Sicilian street food. Passengers will be able to find arancini, cafeterias, fried pizzas, granitas and cannoli, offered in a formula designed to be fast, accessible and consistent with the rhythm of the terminal.

Each reference has been developed to maintain quality, reliability and speed of service even in an environment such as the airport, where the time available before the flight is often limited. The new Scirocco Street Food Lab thus responds to the demand for a more experiential food retail, capable of telling the story of a territory even during a quick break.

Alongside the gastronomic proposal, the store also includes a Scirocco brand market area, dedicated to Sicilian products and specialties made in collaboration with local companies. For Travellers, this means being able to buy flavours and products of the island even before boarding.

The partnership with Chef Express allows Scirocco Street Food Lab to enter a structured network of catering for mobility, while maintaining a strong territorial identity. The project aims to build a contemporary, scalable and recognizable model, capable of enhancing local brands in a national context.
