Ichnusa Beer & Burger opens at Cagliari Airport
Chef Express and Ichnusa have inaugurated the new Ichnusa Beer & Burger at Cagliari-Elmas Airport, inside the boarding pier. The restaurant enriches the food & beverage offer at the airport with a format designed for departing passengers, combining the informal cuisine of the burger restaurant with the flavors and gastronomic identity of Sardinia.
The new opening enhances a very strong territorial link: Cagliari airport is in fact located a few kilometers from the Ichnusa brewery in Assemini, the oldest in Sardinia. For those who leave the island, the restaurant thus becomes a new opportunity to indulge in a last Sardinian taste before the flight.
The menu offers premium smash burgers, gourmet fries, fresh salads, desserts and children's proposals, with ingredients and references to the local tradition, from Sardinian cheeses to sauces inspired by the flavors of the island. The offer is completed by Ichnusa beers on tap and in bottles, designed to accompany the different proposals on the menu.
The restaurant covers about 150 square meters, has 72 seats and employs about 20 people. The environment has been designed to offer an informal but recognizable break, suitable for the timing of the trip and for the airport public, including leisure passengers, families and Travellers departing from Sardinia.
Also contributing to strengthening the link with the territory is a work created by the artists of Urban Center, a collective based in Cagliari, which depicts the Assemini brewery and the people who are part of it in stylized form. A visual element that transforms the store into a space capable of telling, also through art, identity and belonging.
Chef Express has been present at Cagliari Airport since 2003 and manages several catering outlets at the airport, including Wine Bar 1920, Wine Bar Argiolas, Panella, Mokà and McDonald's.
