Comptoir Libanais opens at Venice Airport
Comptoir Libanais has opened its third restaurant in Italy at Venice Marco Polo airport, after Milan Malpensa and Rome Termini. The new restaurant, created in collaboration with Areas-MyChef, is located on the first floor of the new airside departures area and expands the food & beverage offer of Venice airport.
The restaurant occupies an area of about 90 square meters and offers a menu inspired by Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine, with specialties such as hummus, baba ganuj, chicken shawarma, tagine, salads and couscous salad, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. The offer covers the whole day and combines table service and grab & go formula, also designed for those who have little time before their flight.
To speed up the service, four cash desks are available, including two digital kiosks for self-ordering and self-payment. The concept recalls the atmosphere of Middle Eastern souks through colors, furnishings and characteristic details, with the aim of creating a recognizable space that is easily usable by passengers.
The opening strengthens Areas' presence in Italian travel retail: with the new store in Venice, Areas Italia now operates in 16 Italian airports.
The project also integrates environmental sustainability and ESG criteria and is part of the path promoted by SAVE for the LEED certification of the airport.
