Toblerone Vanilla Gelato debuts exclusively at Rome Fiumicino Airport

Only 33 bars a day for the limited edition inspired by Italian ice cream, the protagonist of a travel retail experience at Terminal 1 until 21 September

Toblerone Vanilla Gelato arrives exclusively at Rome Fiumicino Airport, where Mondelēz World Travel Retail and Lagardère Travel Retail have created a popup dedicated to passengers with a limited production of only 33 bars per day.

The new variant combines Toblerone white chocolate, vanilla and crunchy wafer pieces, reinterpreting one of the most recognizable products in travel retail through a flavor inspired by the Italian ice cream tradition.

After an initial installation at Terminal 3, in the La Scene space, from 28 July to 24 August, from 25 August to 21 September 2026 , the experience moves to the Masterclass Space in Terminal 1, transformed into an ice cream parlour with dedicated signs, discovery areas and a large Toblerone Vanilla Gelato cone.

For Travellers there will be tastings, personalisation of packages and photo opportunities, while a countdown shows in real time how many of the 33 daily bars are still available.

Each Toblerone Vanilla Gelato is offered in a gift box with a dedicated shopper and certificate of authenticity, underlining the limited nature of the edition.

The initiative thus aims to transform the purchase of confectionery into an experience linked to the destination: for Mondelēz World Travel Retail and Lagardère Travel Retail, Fiumicino airport becomes the exclusive place to associate Toblerone with one of the Italian gastronomic symbols best known by Travellers.
