Gail's opens its first airport bakery at London Gatwick

The historic London chain opens a new store in the South Terminal, bringing artisan bread, fresh pastries and quality coffee to departing Travellers

The gastronomic shopping experience at the airport takes a quantum leap at London Gatwick: GAIL's, the famous London bakery, has opened its first airport premises in the South Terminal. From today, those who pass through Gatwick will be able to enjoy the brand's distinctive proposals (fresh bread baked on site, artisanal pastries, seasonal sandwiches, salads and mixed drinks on request) in an environment also dedicated to relaxation, with a welcoming seating area.

The concept of the new venue also includes a line of products designed for travel: grab-and-go options, as well as a gift selection designed for those looking for a "taste of London" to take with them. The opening is also an important step for the local community, with more than 70 jobs created and new training opportunities in the hospitality sector.

For GAIL's it is a strategic debut: the chain consolidates its presence in transport hubs (railway stations and now airports) bringing its concept of "neighbourhood bakery" even beyond the streets of the cities.
