Sanlorenzo 74Steel: the new masterpiece of Italian luxury yachting
An icon of Italian engineering and style, Sanlorenzo's new 74Steel marks a milestone in the brand's history. With its 74 meters in length and about 1,900 GT, the new flagship represents the perfect synthesis between technology, design and craftsmanship made in Italy, inaugurating a new era for the Ligurian maison.
Designed on a state-of-the-art technical platform, the 74Steel combines engineering excellence with the art of bespoke yacht building. Each unit is born as a unique work, shaped around the owner's desires, without compromising on performance or structural solidity.
Tailor-made design and innovation
Three units have already been sold and a fourth is under negotiation, even before the official launch. Each model features customized layouts, exclusive interiors and even different bow configurations, testifying to the brand's tailor-made philosophy.
The first two units adopt a diesel-electric propulsion system, while the third integrates a conventional shaft line solution, ensuring maximum construction flexibility and impeccable performance.
The exterior lines, designed by Zuccon International Project, reinterpret the aesthetic language of Sanlorenzo with fluid proportions and balanced architecture. The vertical bow and the sloping stern underline its strength and elegance, in a continuous dialogue between sea and design.
Interiors: sensory elegance and material harmony
The interiors, designed by Francesco Paszkowski with Margherita Casprini, reflect the dynamic sculpture of the exterior lines. Soft shapes, furniture with fluid curves and organic carpets create environments that move with the light and the sea.
Precious materials (matt woods, natural marbles, handcrafted finishes) dialogue in a warm and contemporary balance. Each ensuite cabin uses a different marble, chosen for color and texture in harmony with the works of art on board.
Propulsion and sustainability: the technical excellence of the future
The technological heart of 74Steel is its diesel-electric system, developed in collaboration with Siemens Energy. Six Volvo Penta-Mase variable-speed generators power two Schottel E-Pods of 1,000 kW each, with 1.5 MWh batteries based on lithium iron phosphate technology. The result: higher efficiency, quietness and range, with reduced emissions.
On-board comfort is also optimized thanks to the HVAC system with variable air volume (VAV), which regulates temperature and flows according to the different zones, ensuring an ideal microclimate in every environment.
Life on board: a palace on the water
Each bridge is conceived as an experience in itself.
- Sun Deck: spaces for relaxation, panoramic dining area, Jacuzzi and lounge area with fire pit.
- Owner's Deck: a 130 m² private retreat with panoramic suite, office, walk-in closet, spa and terrace with jacuzzi overlooking the sea.
- Bridge Deck: hi-tech wheelhouse, sky lounge and outdoor dining area with sliding windows.
- Main Deck: five guest suites, large salon with cinema room and dining area for 14 people, glass-bottom swimming pool.
- Lower Deck: spa, gym, hammam, swimming pool and walkaround beach club with opening walls and direct access to the sea.
Tank Deck: areas dedicated to the crew, wine cellar and even a hydroponic greenhouse for growing fresh vegetables on board.
At 1,900 gross tons, the 74Steel is the largest yacht ever built by Sanlorenzo, but remains true to the shipyard's philosophy: measured elegance, conscious luxury and sustainable innovation. Heir to a long tradition of excellence, it represents the new frontier of contemporary superyachts, where technology meets art and every detail tells the personality of its owner.
