Riva 96' Argo Super and Riva 56' Rivale Super protagonists at the Cannes and Genoa boat shows

The two world premieres update already established models in the Riva range with interventions on design, comfort, space distribution and relationship with the sea

Riva is bringing two new models to the main international boat shows in September and October. Riva 56' Rivale Super and Riva 96' Argo Super will make their world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, scheduled from 8 to 13 September, while the 56' Rivale Super will subsequently also be presented at the Genoa International Boat Show, from 1 to 6 October.

The two new models represent the evolution of already established models in the Riva range, interpreted on different sizes and concepts. Both are designed by Officina Italiana Design, the studio founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta that has been exclusively designing the Riva range for over thirty years, in collaboration with the Ferretti Group's Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department.

Also on display in Cannes will be Riva Aquariva Special, Riva 58' Capri, Riva 88' Folgore, Riva 102' Corsaro Super and Riva Iseo Super, the latter positioned at the entrance to the Show.

Riva 56' Rivale Super, the new 17.27-metre open

The Riva 56' Rivale Super updates one of the most representative open yachts in the range, maintaining its original layout but introducing changes to the external profile and cockpit. 17.27 metres long and with a maximum beam of 4.74 metres, it features a new deck configuration in the windscreen area, characterised by a counter-curvature that changes the silhouette. The side grilles are now integrated into the hull colour, while ergonomic interventions have been introduced in the cockpit to improve comfort and usability.

The standard engine includes two 1,000 mhp MAN V8-1000s, with a declared maximum speed of 34 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots. Alternatively, the configuration with two 1,200 mhp MAN V8-1200s brings the maximum speed to 38 knots and the cruising speed to 32 knots, according to preliminary data communicated by the manufacturer.

After the world premiere on the Côte d'Azur, the Riva 56' Rivale Super will be the model chosen by Riva for the next appointment at the Genoa International Boat Show 2026.

Riva 96' Argo Super, a new evolution of the 90' Argo

The second debut in Cannes is the Riva 96' Argo Super, an evolution of the Riva 90' Argo. The new flybridge measures 28.79 metres in overall length and 6.50 metres in maximum beam. The project intervenes above all in the distribution of spaces, the continuity between interiors and exteriors and livability on board.

The aft area and the beach area have been redesigned with a large sundeck integrated into the garage door and a platform equipped with movement to facilitate access to the water. A new day head has been introduced on the main deck, while the saloon can be chosen in two different configurations.

The full-beam owner's suite benefits from larger windows and a new arrangement of the furnishings. On the lower deck, on the other hand, two layouts are available: the standard one includes three guest cabins, including a full-beam VIP cabin aft, while the alternative offers four cabins.

The interior combines high-gloss wenge, matt light oak, mirrored surfaces and polished steel details.

The first unit is equipped with two 2,000 mhp MTU 12V 2000 M96X, for a maximum speed of 26.5 knots and a cruising speed of 22.5 knots. The optional engine with two 2,222 mhp MTU 12V 2000 M96Z allows for a top speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots, according to preliminary data.

With the two previews in Cannes and the subsequent presence of the 56' Rivale Super in Genoa, Riva thus opens the autumn boat show season with two evolutions of its range, one in the open segment and the other among the larger flybridges.
