NBAA-BACE 2025: Business aviation accelerates into the future
From Boom Supersonic passenger jets to Archer's battery-powered air taxis to Otto Aerospace's windowless private jets, the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Las Vegas always offers a preview of the industry's latest innovative and cutting-edge technologies, such as the NBAA-BACE debut of Textron's new Cessna Citation Ascend business jet, Gulfstream's G300 midsize jet mockup, and Kenny Dichter's latest venture, the Real SLX. The 2025 Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), organized by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), shone a spotlight on a booming industry, driven by an unprecedented pace of innovation. From packed exhibition halls and new aircraft launches to high-profile panels and sustainability initiatives, the event confirmed Las Vegas as the global epicenter of business aviation.
Held from October 14-16, 2025 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Henderson Executive Airport (HND), the event brought together key industry players, including manufacturers, operators, brokers, innovators, and policymakers.
World debuts and new protagonists
The 2025 edition offered an exceptional preview of the sector's innovations. Among the most anticipated debuts are the Cessna Citation Ascend, a midsize jet by Textron Aviation, and the Phantom 3500 by Otto Aerospace, characterized by an innovative laminar flow design.
The newly formed company BOND has chosen NBAA-BACE for its official launch as a fractional operator, announcing an order for 50 Bombardier Challenger 3500 and Global 6500 jets. Real Jet, a brokerage company specializing in business aviation, also made its debut during the event.
Bombardier also announced a new record for the Global 8000, which reached a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.95, making it the fastest subsonic civil aircraft in the world.
A stage for innovation
The revamped format of the NBAA Aircraft Connection exhibition area brought together a full range of aircraft, from piston models to turboprops and business jets. Gulfstream exhibited almost its entire fleet, with the mockup of the new G300 at its official debut.
The new Tribute to Flight Pavilion celebrated aviation history, hosting iconic aircraft such as the Learjet 23 and World War II aircraft, alongside contemporary models such as Game Aerospace's GB1 GameBird.
Among the technological attractions, Archer Aviation presented its Midnight eVTOL, while the Creator Studio, created in collaboration with Signature Aviation, hosted prominent influencers and content creators in the world of aviation.
For the first time, Boom Supersonic participated with its supersonic jet project, while Skyryse showcased a simplified flight control system to increase safety and ease of use. uAvionix, on the other hand, presented its solutions for the integration of advanced air mobility in the national airspace.
Leadership, training and sustainability
Among the moments of in-depth analysis, a press lunch with Sam Graves, congressman and leading transportation expert in the US Congress, addressed the issue of the modernization of air traffic control.
Nick Daniels, president of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA), highlighted the key role of collaboration between industry and aviation authorities in promoting safety.
CNBC journalist Phil LeBeau moderated a panel discussion with the CEOs of Bombardier, Embraer Executive Jets, Flexjet and Textron Aviation, focused on the future, artificial intelligence and workforce challenges.
Over 75 training sessions explored topics of leadership, maintenance, regulation and operational innovation. The show also hosted five Professional Development Program (PDP) courses and inaugurated the Maintenance Track, which allows you to obtain up to eight credit hours for the renewal of your Inspection Authorization (IA).
The Business Aviation Sustainability Summit outlined the industry's roadmap towards net zero emissions, promoting the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), capable of reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 80%. Las Vegas area airports ensured the availability of SAF for the duration of the event.
The appointment with the next edition is set for October 20-22, 2026, when NBAA-BACE will return to Las Vegas for a new edition dedicated to connecting people, innovation and the future.
