Universal Aviation strengthens its presence in Southern Europe
Universal Aviation, the global ground handling division of Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc., has announced the completion of the integration of Safeport into its European network. The six new co-branded locations, operating in Portugal and Cape Verde, make it possible to respond even more effectively to the needs of business aviation operators during the upcoming summer season and beyond.
The strategic partnership with Safeport extends the Universal Aviation® brand into key points along the Atlantic corridor, including: Beja, Cascais, Faro, Lisbon, Porto, Sal Island (Cape Verde). The integration of Safeport into Universal Aviation's network provides greater flexibility and capacity to customers operating to and from Southern Europe or making strategic Atlantic crossings via Cape Verde.
In the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) context, Universal Aviation recorded excellent results in 2024: regional traffic growth of +12.3% year-on-year; performance above the market average of +9.1%; Dublin, Northolt and Milan reported double-digit growth.
