Signature UrbanV Alliance, the AAM network that connects airports and cities in the United States
Signature Aviation and UrbanV have formally established the Signature UrbanV Alliance (SUVA), the U.S. joint venture dedicated to the development and management of advanced air mobility infrastructure in the United States. First announced in June 2025 and previewed at NBAA-BACE 2026, the initiative is now entering the implementation phase with the aim of building a network capable of connecting airports, urban areas and regional destinations. The project starts from a precise choice: to initially use the existing airport infrastructure, in particular the Signature terminals, progressively integrating services and facilities dedicated to electric aircraft. As demand grows, the network is expected to expand through dedicated vertiports and new purpose-built infrastructure.
From airports to final destinations
SUVA's strategic value is not to develop individual isolated vertiports, but to create interconnected connections around the already existing aviation demand. The first implementations are expected to integrate charging, aircraft management and passenger services within already operational facilities. In a later phase, SUVA plans to add vertiports in urban and regional destinations, building a mixed network of airport and non-airport locations. The result: the traditional air link could be flanked by an AAM route that brings the last segment of the route closer to the final destination.
Signature brings the network, UrbanV the vertiport experience
The joint venture combines two complementary competencies. Signature Aviation provides its U.S. network, operational capabilities, and relationship with private and business aviation customers. The company operates more than 200 private aviation terminals in 27 countries.
UrbanV brings its expertise in the planning, development and operation of AAM infrastructures and vertiport networks. The collaboration therefore aims to use the existing airport network as the first point of access to new air mobility, reducing the need to build completely separate infrastructures from the outset. With the Signature UrbanV Alliance, the connection between airports and urban destinations thus enters a more concrete phase, in which infrastructure, management and passenger experience become part of the same system.
