The Flexjet Private Terminal in Farnborough
Flexjet's new private terminal at Farnborough Airport has been designed as a ground-based extension of the airline's flight experience. The $34 million facility, spread over 2,098 m², is located in a separate building from the main terminal and is reserved for Flexjet customers and their guests. For passengers, it means being able to use a dedicated space before departure or after landing, without sharing lounges and waiting areas with other business aviation operators.
Lounges, private rooms and dedicated controls
The interiors, curated by Carver Hain Art + Design, include several areas for relaxation and work. Among the most characteristic environments is the Gulfstream G700 Fuselage Lounge, a life-size reproduction of the long-range jet cabin, complete with LXI Cabin Collection interiors and private suite.
The Owners Bar & Lounge occupies the central part of the terminal and overlooks the runway through large windows. Meeting rooms are also available for customers and their guests.
In the hall is exhibited "Aero", a sculpture created by the British-Canadian artist David Spriggs, inspired by the vortices generated by the wingtips.
One of the most relevant elements from a travel point of view is the presence of dedicated security and immigration checks, provided by Farnborough Airport. The aim is to make the transition between arrival at the terminal and boarding more direct.
European operations and training in the same building
The terminal does not only accommodate passengers. On the upper floor there is also the new European Tactical Control Centre, the headquarters of the company's operational activities and support staff. In the same complex, the Red Label Academy, the training center used for the approximately 300 Flexjet flight attendants globally, has been expanded. The facility is part of an international network of private terminals already in operation or under development, including Teterboro, used to serve the New York area. Flexjet lists Farnborough among its dedicated terminals in the United Kingdom.
Fleet maintenance at Farnborough
Also within the airport, Flexjet also has a 3,530 m² hangar intended for maintenance, repair and overhaul of its fleet. This infrastructure flanks the passenger terminal and allows the company to concentrate customer services, flight operations and technical support in the same airport.
On the environmental front, the building uses 138 solar panels, with an expected production of about 37,848 kWh per year, as well as a rainwater collection and reuse system.
Where is Farnborough Airport

Farnborough is used exclusively for non-scheduled and corporate aviation and is one of the reference airports for those who reach London by private jet, avoiding the commercial traffic of large international airports.
