Dammam, the new General Aviation Terminal is operational with Universal Aviation
Universal Aviation has officially commenced operations at the new General Aviation Terminal (GAT/FBO) at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The facility, which opened in February 2026 and is now fully operational after regulatory clearances, has already operated its first business aviation flight.
Universal Aviation is responsible for the management of the terminal and provides the complete ground handling services. Built in collaboration with MATARAT Holding and Dammam Airports Company (DACO), the facility represents the country's first dedicated General Aviation Terminal/FBO and also marks Universal Aviation's operational debut in Saudi Arabia.
The new terminal covers approximately 3,900 square meters and aims to make the journey of passengers and business aviation crews faster and more private. Two VIP lounges, a pilots' lounge, a conference room, food & beverage area, offices and showers are available.
A particularly important element for international flights is the presence of customs, immigration and health control services directly in the terminal, which allows arrival and departure procedures to be concentrated within the infrastructure dedicated to private aviation.
The complex also includes a business aviation hangar of approximately 1,860 square meters, which can be used to protect aircraft from the high temperatures, humidity, dust and sand characteristic of the region. Aircraft storage options are also provided for seasonal or longer periods.
The GAT in Dammam operates 24 hours a day and represents the first step in Universal Aviation's broader expansion in Saudi Arabia. Additional activities are planned during 2026 in Jeddah, at King Abdulaziz International Airport, and in Riyadh, at King Khalid International Airport.

The network includes over 75 locations in more than 20 countries, with activities dedicated to charter operators, corporate flight departments and private aircraft owners.
